I'm Nobody! Who Are You? by Emily Dickinson


I. Summary

The poem I chose to summarize and is I'm Nobody! Who Are You? by Emily Dickinson. The type of this poem seems to be lyric poetry, because the poem is writing about a writer's feeling. The poem says that taking a look at oneself again is important.


II. Reaction

1. Imagery
This poem has a imagery.  The poem says that taking a look at oneself again. People should have time that taking a look at oneself again.

2. Connotation
This poem says that people have other people of marked individuality. And the poem teaches that one by one has each attractions.

3. Personification
This poem's character is frog. And the frog says somethings. So I think this poem has Personification.

4. General Opinion
This poem will tell the reader that people are differences. So each person's difference is important. This poem tells me that knowing oneself.

Reaction to The Owl and the Pussy Cat by Edward Lear

I. Summary
The poem I chose to summarize and react is The Owl and the Pussy Cat by Edward Lear. The type of this poem seems to be narrative poetry, because this story is that a owl and a cat married. A owl and a cat makes a voyage, they makes love to each other. 

II. Reaction

1.  Imagery
So The poem is love story, everyone from adults to children can enjoy the poem. Since The characters is animals,  the poem gives the reader enjoyable image, than it is when the characters is person. The poem gives us happy. 

2. Personification
The poem’s characters are animals, an owl sings, and the owl and pussy cat married and danced. So we can say that this is using personification. 

3. Connotation
It is difficult to convey one's feelings to one`s favorite person, but this poem is that other animals convey their feelings. And the two animals look happy. So this poem says  the message that it is important to convey one's feelings.

4. General Opinion
This poem will tell the reader that the condition of loving a person is important. And the poem gives the reader a happy feeling.
